I am a part of the Thomas Nelson Publishers Book Review Club, and this book looked the most interesting out of the ones I could choose from, although the information is a bit before my time! :) Enjoy the review. Then I can select a new book to read and review for free, woohoo!
The Christian Radio Comedy Duo of Rick and Bubba teamed up to write a hilarious self-help guide to marriage in Rick and Bubba’s Guide to the Almost Nearly Perfect Marriage. I highly recommend this book because of its humor, honesty, and insightfulness into everyday issues. Such issues the duo tackles include finances, date night ideas, pregnancy and arguments. Their standpoints are hilarious, often tongue-in-cheek and facetious, but always to the point and worthy of note! The book reads quickly (5-6 hrs) and works as a great guide for future reference when certain situations arise. I am thankful for their honest look at working together as a team and learning what has worked and hasn’t worked for them. The best of The Book of Blame is also included, as well as an audio cd with snippets of relevant topics from the guys. This book is a must read!

A Review of The X and Y of Buy
The X and Y of Buy is an interesting and quick read on how best to approach marketing and advertising towards your male and female crowds. Elizabeth Pace weaves together personal examples from her own life and from the world on what to say and do (as well as what not to say and do) during interviews, meetings, and corporate get-togethers. What makes this book so helpful is that it applies to not only those marketing towards men and women, but in all areas of your life. The new found understanding of men and women you will gain from reading this book can help improve friendships, relationships, and future business deals. The book is divided into two parts; the differences between men and women (part one), and how to specifically nail the meeting with a main or women (part two). From the differences between the male and female brain to the differences between how men and women communicate and act, this book is a must read handbook if you want to be successful in your friendships, relationships, and partnerships with those of the opposite gender. I fully recommend this book!

The Beginning
Welcome to my blog! Here I will post stories, thoughts, book reviews, links, and anything else that I think that you should think is noteworthy. First example, after I finished the last sentence, one of the cleaning ladies up here at West Jackson Baptist Church handed me a $20 bill! Very cool! Here is a list of my favorite places to keep up with online, enjoy!
